Within the framework of the “Blue Hand” Programme, ONAS has constructed treated wastewater disposal sea-outlets in the zones of Jerba, Northern Sousse, Monastir and Nabeul/ Hammamet.
The sea-outlets of Jerba and Northern Sousse were constructed in 1993, which allowed an extension of the treated wastewater disposal outlets by about 1.7 km off the beach of Sousse and by 1.1 km off the beach of Jerba. In 1995, ONAS constructed a sea outlet for Nabeul/ Hammamet of 2.3 km in length and another dedicated to the wastewater treatment plant of Monastir of 1.52 km in length.
